This week I’ll be in Austin, TX for the Digital Influencer Meet-up with DiMe Media.
Wait. What is a digital influencer? A social media user who has digital influence. According to techopedia.com, digital influence is the ability to create an effect, change opinions and behaviors, and drive measurable outcomes online.
Texas has some influence, y’all. If this sounds like you or someone your know, join us at Mi Madre’s restaurant Wednesday, July 29th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Come mix and mingle with other Latino digital influencers. Plus, meet the founders of DiMe Media, a leading network for Latino content creators and influencers.
This post is to provide more information for the 2016 SXSW Panel Picker Submission: Multicultural Blogger and Content Creator Meetup. It will be edited and updated as the Panel Picker process progresses.
The Panel Picker Submission
Multicultural bloggers and content creators connect with specific audiences and potential sponsors and advertisers want to reach those audiences. For example, Hispanic women audiences are in the driver seat when it comes to the $1.2 trillion Latino purchasing power. Guess who’s influencing them?
However, these multicultural bloggers and content creators are challenged with the ever-changing social media platforms, moving quickly from written content to visual content to live content. We can only reach our audience where they are reading or watching.
Let’s not get left behind when it comes to adaptation. Come to meet and discuss how to grow, integrate and harness your own audiences.
I hope to address at least the following questions:
How do multicultural content creators harness the power of their own influence in the world of technology brands?
If video and livestream killed the blog, what are bloggers to do now? If not, how do bloggers integrate these two for branding?
Mentorship. Is there room for collaboration and/or mentorship in the world of digital influencers?
With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.

In PIXELS, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.
PIXELS stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Ashley Benson and Brian Cox and is directed by Chris Columbus. It is in theaters on July 24, 2015 in 3D, REALD 3D and IMAX 3D.
