Last year’s San Antonio Symphony Holiday Pops concert was what officially put us in the holiday spirit! The fun holiday season concert is the perfect time of year to introduce young kids and their families to hear their holiday favorites with a live orchestra. That’s one of the reasons we love SA Symphony Holiday Pops so much. We are are looking forward this year’s concert AND we have a giveaway for you thanks to our friends at the San Antonio Symphony.
The annual Holiday Pops concert will bring the sounds of the holiday season led by associate conductor Akiko Fujimoto; San Antonio Mastersingers with director John Silantien; and Trinity University Handbell Ensemble with director Dianne Persellin. This year’s Holiday Pops special guest is soprano singer Diane Penning. Penning is one of those rare performers who can sing both classical music and pops. She has been singing with a variety of exceptional orchestras. I’m excited to hear her perform!
This festive program will include traditional favorites such as The Nutcracker, March of the Toys from Babes in Toyland, O Holy Night, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. And of course the family favorite sing-along – Sleigh Ride will be performed.
