My heart broke just a little when I found out the hermoso Juanes will be signing his newly released biography Chasing the Sun in San Antonio on the day that I will be OUT OF TOWN! ay ay ayyy! Okay, that doesn’t mean that you have to miss him!
“I’m doing what I believe I was brought to this world to do: to create music that raises awareness, renews hearts, and generates change. I’ll continue looking to the stars and traveling the globe as God permits me. And I hope I have many years left to connect through art, to play my guitar, and to continue chasing the sun.”—Juanes (B&N overview of Chasing the Sun)

Juanes is a Grammy winning artist. Personally, I have loved his musica since his early Fijate Bien days. He’s a lot of rock n roll with compassionate yet alerting lyrics about what is happening not just to us but around us. Yes, he is an activist who happens to be easy on the eyes. This Colombian-born rockero uses music as a vehicle to stand against violence and injustice. Gente, if you get to meet him, dale un besito from me (like you need an excuse, no?!)
Here he is singing one of my all time favorite songs: A Dios Le Pido … To me, it’s a prayer to God about our dearest loved ones.
If you can’t make it to his book tour, you might want to catch him on his UNPLUGGED tour.
