STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS with SA Symphony #Giveaway #StarTrekLive

Are you a Trekkie? YES?! You won’t want to miss STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS Live in Concert with San Antonio Symphony at the Majestic Theater. Imagine watching the blockbuster on the big screen but this time the San Antonio Symphony performs the musical score LIVE!

On October 17 and 18, at 8 p.m., the San Antonio Symphony will take the movie-watching experience to another level by featuring STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, director J.J. Abrams’s most recent blockbuster hit in the Star Trek franchise, with composer Michael Giacchino’s thrilling musical score performed “live to picture” by the orchestra. Giacchino is best known for creating scores for films including “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and “Jupiter Ascending.”

Wait. Why do we want to see this movie again … with a live orchestra performance? Composer Michael Giacchino addressed this in an interview with London Live just before the STAR TREK Live performance at Royal Albert Hall in London.

“I think that as cinema and the home experience sort of become similar, it’s more important to have events like this – where you can go and see something that you can’t do at home. You can’t fit a hundred-piece orchestra in your home to play along with all your movies as you are watching them. So for me, it’s a really great experience. It’s something to offer people that they are never going to get anywhere else,”  Composer Michael Giacchino.

Thanks to our friends at San Antonio Symphony, we are giving away one Family Four-Pack to Friday night’s performance (Oct 17th, 8pm). One luck reader will get to share this unique experience with their family and/or friends. There are several ways to enter. Good luck!
