People en Español FESTIVAL San Antonio, TX ~ Ticket Giveaway

Disclaimer: This post is a part of a sponsored campaign between Latina Mom Bloggers, Festival People en Español and Target. Of course, opinions are my own.

San Antonio, are you ready for a celebration of culture on Labor Day weekend? Last year, I attended the People en Español Festival and not only did I get to hang out with some great friends but I experienced Luis Miguel en concierto. This nationwide celebration of culture, entertainment and the Hispanic community is back in town!

Gloria Estefan joins the show!

GLORIA ESTEFAN JOINS THE SHOW!

#FestivalPeople is a two-day and night event. The daytime events are free and located at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. There you will find a tribute to La Diva de la Banda, Jenni Rivera with her daughter Chiquis Marín, Juan Rivera and Pepe Garza. In addition to many other musical performances and activities for los niños, Target will be pampering you with:

Education

Before we get back to the music and tickets, let me point out one event I am thrilled will be presented in front of this audience. "Latinos in Higher Education: Staying in School and Achieving Success" panel that is being hosted by Soledad O'Brien. The panel will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Saturday, August 31st at 2 pm (CST). Panelist will include: U.S. Rep. Joaquín Castro, D-San Antonio; Univision News' “Primer Impacto” co-anchor Pamela Silva-Conde; and DREAM Act advocate Benita Veliz. I don’t know whose idea this was to designate one hour to a discussion on higher education but I’m sure glad it made it on the agenda!
