Golden Skies and Summer Vibes: 5 Community Events to Love in San Antonio

This post is a paid collaboration with Community First Health Plans. All opinions of fun summer events are my own.

Summers in San Antonio can be magical as our community comes together under our gorgeous golden skies to take in the treasures of our city. Queridos, I want this for you – your family, friends, and heart. So, I’ve rounded up five recurring local events for you to slow down, reconnect, and make memories to last beyond the season.

5 Community Events to Love in San Antonio

Our local health plan provider, Community First Health Plans, also believes in the power of community, and has been serving San Antonio and the surrounding areas for over 30 years. In honor of this milestone anniversary, they are helping to make this summer more joyful by sponsoring free, family-focused events across the city. Queridos, this is the kind of support that helps make summer memories more accessible for all of us.

Experiences that bring us joy often include fun activities, healthy movement, and exploring what feels like our own backyard. You’ll notice some of the events listed below are outdoors, mostly scheduled for cooler evenings. Yes, even in this Texas summer heat, we can still enjoy the magic of summer with a few safety measures. Here are a few tips to remember:

  • Bring a water bottle to help you stay hydrated throughout the event.
  • Wear light-colored, breathable clothing and comfortable shoes.
  • Apply sunscreen before heading out, and wear your sunglasses and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.

San Antonio, please be safe, stay cool, and have fun at these community events!
