Game Day with NFL #GoVerizon Recap and DeMarco Murray Giveaway

My entire schedule changes every fall. Sundays, Monday nights and some Thursday nights are set aside for football. Yep, American football. This former band nerd has been a fan every since she had to sit in the stands during high school football games and watch the game while she waited for her chance to perform at half-time. I wasn’t about to sit there bored to tears. So, I learned the game!

NFL Game Day #GoVerizon

Watching football together is something my husband I have enjoyed doing since before we were married. It’s great to have a football-watching partner even when you don’t always agree on the game. We drove up from San Antonio to Arlington to see our ‘Boys in action! It was a great experience and I must give a HUGE thank you to Verizon for sponsoring an incredible trip.

QueMeansWhat Tailgating with Verizon

First, we hung out with fellow football fans at the Bill Bates Tailgating party which was a ton of fun as we got to play in games, take photos and of course, EAT! Verizon knows how to throw a party!

Texas Bar-b-cue #GoVerizon

My husband took a shot at kicking some field goals for a chance to win some Verizon prizes! Ha! We had fun, that’s for sure! Next time, I’ll leave the wedges at home and do some kicking of my own 😉

After tailgating we headed to the game! We watched from the 50-year line the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants. This is a long standing NFC rivalry that’s great any year but especially great when your favorite team is winning!

I did my best to live-tweet the game as much as I could! And as an avid tweeter and football fan, I think I found a new calling in life. Why did I think of this before?! It’s two of my favorites in one. Thanks to my Verizon service, all my tweets went out perfectly fine!

What’s more exciting than watching one of your favorite football teams win the game?! Watching a star player break an NFL record! During the Cowboys/Giants game, DeMarco Murray became the first back in NFL history to start a season by running for at least 100 yards in seven straight games. Woo hoo! How ’bout them Cowboys?!
