Beauty and the Beast - A complicated heroine we love

Beauty and the Beast – Belle is the complicated heroine whom I love (MOVIE TICKET GIVEAWAY)

It’s no surprise that Disney fans everywhere are awaiting the release of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Belle or heard the moving musical pieces. The story and characters come to spectacular life in the live-action adaptation of this Disney animated classic. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is a stunning, cinematic event celebrating one of the most beloved tales ever told.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a Beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart of the true Prince within.

I have a confession. When I watched the trailer for the 2017 movie, I was not excited for it. Mostly, I love the animated version so much that I didn’t want to see it remade into a live-action film. I wanted my strong, independent Belle to remain just as I remember her in the animated film. However, I just re-watched the latest trailer and maybe because I’ve been reminded of why I love this story so much, I think it’s magical.

Emma Watson as Belle is an excellent choice in casting. Belle is the first Disney princess whom I remember being so much more than a damsel in distress. Her character is so brave to save her father from the Beast. And she appears complex when she stays to care for the Beast, the one who has held her captive. Still, she’s even more lovable as she connects to the magical staff who come to life for her. That’s why the story is special to me – Belle is independent, complicated, and love-filled.

Emma Watson as Belle in Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, a live-action adaptation of the studio’s classic animated film.

The film also stars: Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s father; Josh Gad as LeFou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Ewan McGregor as Lumière, the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, the wardrobe; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; Hattie Morahan as the enchantress; and Nathan Mack as Chip, the teacup; with Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST opens in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.

I Love Beauty and The Beast because it is about True Love.

I have told one of my grand-daughters that one should
Fall in Love with the person’s Heart & Soul.
    Look beyond their Physical Appearance.

My wife loves this movie and musical also my daughter is in theater arts at her school and loves all musicals and how they are made. I believe she will end of going to college for theater when she graduates from high school.

  3. Beauty and the Beast is hands down my favorite Disney Princess movie. Her love of reading is what really drew me into the cartoon. Prior to that every other princess needed to be rescued however Belle was smart, kind and brave. She was able to make that situation a whole new world for her and her father. If the new movie still holds true to the original than this is something that I would love to share with my family.

  4. I have loved this story for years I would love to see this movie a beautiful love story I hope I get picked

The story is about true love and how looks don’t mean anything. If it is like the cartoon, it also shows it is ok to be different and stay true to yourself and do what makes you happy (referring to Belle reading and enjoying it and the town expressing weird looks to her)

” Far-off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise!”

I love beauty and the beast because love is truly about caring about who the person is inside not just outside. I’m so glad they remade this movie so maybe young girls will rethink the love concept. And focus on their inner beauty not just the out side one.

The story of Belle is wonderful I remember looking up to her because she didn’t give in to Gaston and see saw past what the beast was on the outside.
