Soup for You! The Original Soupman #SoupManFan

This is a review in partnership with The Niche Parent Network & Conference. All opinions are my own.

If you are ever in a conversation about Seinfeld (90s American TV sitcom … the show about nothing), the phrase “No soup for you!” will inevitably come up. That’s the phrase Seinfeld’s ‘Soup Nazi’ would snap at his customers if they didn’t follow the rules or said anything he did not find amusing. Then, he’d banish them from his soup line and snatch away their soup. It’s hilarious!

Long before Seinfeld, The Original SoupMan, Al, had lines out the door at Al’s Legendary NYC store on West 55th Street. And yes, Al made customers follow the rules. Seven_wonders_Soup

Luckily for us, we don’t have to get the famous soup in NYC. You can purchase The Original SoupMan’s soups at over 500 Walmart locations, over 750 Stop & Shop, 1400 Safeway stores, Giant, Martin’s Supermarkets, plus other grocers across the nation. Find a store near you here: http://bit.ly/16FyefS. Joining the company’s four classic recipes in grocery stores – Lobster Bisque, chicken Noodle, Lentil and Tomato Bisque – are three new flavors – Crab Corn Chowder, Chicken Gumbo and a Seinfeld classic, Jambalaya.

The Original SoupMan is introducing the Tetra Pack which maintains freshness and is sustainable plus, it’s 100 percent BPA free. If you’ve never been a fan of canned soup but like the convenience of just ‘heat and serve’, you might want to give this a try. Plus, you don’t need a can opener!

I tried the Crab Corn Chowder. I give it two thumbs up for a heat and serve soup. There’s a recipe on the box: Crab and Corn Quiche. Mix one whisked egg and a package of soup in a 9-inch quiche shell. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and let sit for 15 minutes before serving. After having my first bowl of chowder, that recipe would be worth trying.

Seinfeld fans, did you know Jason Alexander (George) actually serves as an advisor and equity partner in The Original SoupMan Company? So I guess there is soup for him after all.

On these cold winter days and nights, this might just be a tasty and convenient way for you to still have a hearty meal with out a lot of fuss.
