Power of Our Voice with Dr. Erika Gonzalez

Latinas are leaders. That’s a huge understatement. And, in my life today, it’s glaringly obvious because I’m lucky enough to get to surround myself with Latinas who are leaders in their industries, in their communities and in their family lives. That wasn’t always the case so welcome to my first segment in a series of interviews with Latinas who lead.

Latinas Who Lead – Dr. Erika Gonzalez

Queridos, please meet Dr. Erika Gonzalez. Dr. Gonzalez, CEO of STAAMP Allergy. She is an advocate for Latino voices in our community serving on various medical committees and boards. She is also a U.S. Air Force Veteran and all-around poderosa doing all the things including raising a family in San Antonio.

Dr. Gonzalez is serving as the 2020 Chairwoman of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC), the first Hispanic Chamber in the United States to be accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 1929, SAHCC continues to be  the leading resource, advocate, and access point for Hispanic businesses, Hispanics in business, and the Hispanic market. In our interview, we discussed how her parents instilled the value of education, the core values she holds on to from serving in the Air Force, and what her plans are for the SAHCC as the 2020 Chairwoman.
