Frankie and Elisabeth Get Their Wings – Adaptation of It’s a Wonderful Life

If you haven’t visited the gem that is SAY Sí in San Antonio, this weekend is the perfect time to do so. I first visited this non-profit organization earlier this year for a different play, Dos Pocitos and have been back for various events since. SAY Sí prepares youth for for higher education with opportunities to develop artistic skills.

Here is one more opportunity to see what is going on with the artistic youth in San Antonio:

Every year millions of families tune in for their annual viewing of the classic film “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Inspired by the message and themes of this yuletide story, SAY Sí’s ALAS Youth Theatre Company will re-interpret the tale on Dec. 14-16, 2012 with a new and youthful adaptation called “Frankie and Elisabeth Get Their Wings”.

Incorporating live and original rock music accompaniment complete with unforgettable characters, plenty of laughs and more than a few heart-warming moments, this is one holiday show everyone in the entire family is sure to enjoy.

This year, SAY Si encourages patrons to take make a difference in their own community by donating an unwrapped toy or child/youth-sized socks or undergarment in exchange for admission to the Sunday, December 16, matinee performance. Sunday’s donations will go to Inner City Development and The Pancho Claus Christmas program. Showtimes:
