Busy Family Schedules Need Reliable Cars – Our Favorite Toyota Highlander Features #VayamosJuntos

Toyota acknowledges the role vehicles play in the everyday lives of Latino consumers like my own familia. Recently, Toyota sent a Highlander with a full tank of gas for me and my family to enjoy as a way to celebrate Toyota’s 10th Anniversary of being the No. 1 automaker for the Hispanic Market. From our duties of a karate class taxi to going for our family hike to hosting the DiMe Media Influencer Meetup in Austin, TX, we enjoyed our week with the Toyota Highlander.

We keep a busy schedule and we need our vehicles to be reliable. As a work-from-hom mom, my kids are always with me even when I’m running errands. I appreciate a vehicle that has convenience and comfort features to make our lives a bit easier. Some of my favorite features on the Highlander were the power liftgate, rear-seat entertainment system, seat warmer (in Texas it’s a seat cooler) and the blind-spot monitor. Visit Toyota.com to see a full list of features in design, interior, technology, performance and safety.

There is something special about driving a Toyota in San Antonio because the Toyota Tundra and Tacoma are manufactured right here. In fact, the workforce of the plant very closely resembles the booming Hispanic population of San Antonio with more than 63 percent of team members identifying themselves as Hispanic (similar to San Antonio’s Hispanic population that, as a whole, is just over 63 percent).

As an education and family advocate, I appreciate that Toyota is also very involved in the local Hispanic community through partnerships with local Southside schools and sport clubs such as 5 Diamonds Little League. When you spend time in the community, you can begin to understand and appreciate the families that make up the community.
