Strayer University Supports Education as the Key to Success for Latinos

Festival PEOPLE en Español will be returning to San Antonio for 3rd annual celebration this Labor Day weekend! I’ve attended the past two years to join in a celebration of our Latino culture in our own Alamo City. Last year, one of the events that I was most looking forward to was the “Latinos in Higher Education: Staying in School and Achieving Success” panel because it was a great platform to address higher education. I remember that every seat was filled in the convention center for that panel and it proved that San Antonio was invested in the future education of our Latino students.

This year, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be returning to Festival on behalf of the Official Higher Education Sponsor of the 3rd annual Festival PEOPLE en Español – Strayer University. As Strayer University is honored to share its message of opportunity and achievement through education with the Latino community at Festival PEOPLE en Español, I am also honored to serve as an ambassador at Festival. The two-day event has become one of the year’s most-anticipated celebrations of Hispanic culture featuring today’s hottest celebrities, expert panels and family-fun activities over Labor Day weekend. Strayer University will provide an inspiring forum for Latinos on how to develop their leadership potential and empower them to become leaders at work on Saturday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Aug. 31 at the weekend experience at San Antonio’s Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Strayer University is committed to empowerment through education.

Now in its third year, PEOPLE en Espanol’s annual Festival aims to entertain, inspire and unite Hispanic families around an unparalleled celebration of culture. As part of Strayer University’s footprint at Festival PEOPLE en Español, they will be offering at their booth on Saturday and Sunday:

  • One-on-one career counseling sessions with a personal Success Coach
  • Raffle for a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy tablet, premium items and gift bag giveaways
  • Photo sharing opportunities, live social feed, graffiti wall
