Playdates Are Back on the Calendar Thanks to Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home Granola Snackers #BakingWithBunches #IC

I participated in an In-Home Party Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home. I received product samples to facilitate this post as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Do you know what I miss most about my kids being babies? The playdates. ¡En serio! When I moved to San Antonio, I was blessed to have found a great group of mommas who regularly hosted playdates in their homes. It took a bit to find them but I finally did and I am so grateful to have made new ‘mommy friends’ … that’s what I called them. I miss them!

Hosting an In-Home Party on behalf of Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home was the perfect reason to invite my ‘mommy friends’ over for a playdate. Queridos, I’m not the hostess with the ‘mostest’. I know this. However, in order to get to hang out with my ‘mommy friends’ I am happy to clean up my house and do a bit of baking.

And I did just that! I cleaned up the casita, set up the Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home decor and included some fresh fruit and yogurt. And of course, I had cafecito for my guests.  When the girls showed up, I wanted to show them how easy it is to whip up some tasty snacks for their familia because my ‘mommy friends’ are just as busy as I am and I know they, too, want to serve their familias  semi-healthy snacks. The new Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home Granola Snackers provide a solution because they are made with whole grain rolled oats, crisp rice and wildflower honey. Each serving provides at least 11 grams of whole grain.

Even though I decorated my dining table, my guests sat at my breakfast counter while I baked because all the fun happens in the kitchen. It didn’t feel like I was sweating away in the kitchen because the box calls for a 5 minute prep. And I think when you aren’t chatting and laughing with friends, it really would only take that long. However, we had a great time catching up and we all agreed that this is something we all missed and need to do again soon. Next time I’ll just bake ahead of time.

I’ve said it before that if I’m sharing a recipe on QueMeansWhat.com it’s to inspire you “If I can do it, you can, too!” Well, I did it! The new Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home is as easy as 1, 2, 3 – just prep, mix and bake! Simply add butter and brown sugar to the honey and granola mix pouches, stir, pour into a pan and pop in the oven! It was so easy! I couldn’t resist trying the S’mores Snackers recipe on the back of the HONEY OAT Bake at Home Granola Snackers. I added 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows and two sheets of coarsely chopped graham crackers. This is a fun time for the kids, too! I let my son break up all the graham crackers.

We also tried the CRANBERRY VANILLA and CHOCOLATE CHIP flavors but the S’mores were our favorite.

My guests went home with their own aprons, chef hats and leftovers! Plus, they now know where they can pick up their own boxes of Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ Granola Snackers. Queridos, if you want to buy your own granola snackers, look for Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ in the bar aisle near the granola bars in the following Walmart stores:

  • 2121 Highway 146 Bypass, Liberty, Texas 77575
  • 1521 Interstate 35 N, Bellmead, Texas 76705

The only thing that I wasn’t happy about the party was that I didn’t get any photos of me and my ‘mommy friends’. We were too busy laughing, sharing stories and EATING! Playdates are going back on my calendar. How do you stay connected to your busy mommy friends?
