Let the Kids Ring in 2017 at the DoSeum – Kids Countdown

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with The DoSeum. All opinions are my own.

Are your kids ready to ring in 2017?! How do you celebrate as a family?

Each New Year’s Eve, our little familia celebrates together.  We turn on the tv to watch the NYE celebrations, we gather our 12 grapes for the stroke of midnight and toast with Jarritos instead of champagne.

Eating 12 grapes in 12 seconds at the stroke of midnight is a Spanish tradition that, frankly, we incorporated because we love grapes. Plus, it’s fun for the kids to attempt – 12 grapes in 12 seconds isn’t easy, Queridos!

That’s right. We stay at home on New Year’s Eve. While we don’t like to be out late at night on New Year’s Eve, we want to be a part of a celebration. We want to see the ball drop; we want to dance; we want to celebrate! What if we could move up the celebration so our kids don’t have to wait up until midnight?! This year we can at The DoSeum Kids Countdown Celebration, Saturday, December 31, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Kick off the New Year with the Kids countdown at The DoSeum - QueMeansWhat.com

The Kids Countdown is a chance for children to ring in the new year and watch the ball drop at the much more reasonable hour of noon. Kids can dance to the tunes of a family-friendly DJ just like the celebrations that are on tv! Plus, kids can make their own New Years Poppers and toast in 2017 with complimentary sparkling cider.  Admission is $12 (both members and non-members) and you can buy your tickets here: www.thedoseum.org/kids-countdown. Visit The DoSeum Kids Countdown Facebook Event page for more updates.
